Cake Pop Experience

And what an experience these were! My friend Erika and her daughters gave Hailey and I the Starbucks cake pop mix for xmas. Thankfully we waited until we had no better place to be than home due to a foot of snow outside to make them. There are multiple quick steps involved which took us hrs to get them done. They were definitely worth the wait though.

Here is our experience via pictures - can't you just taste them now! I had never had a cake pop before, and I have been missing out. Just call it my strong will power that takes over every time I walk into a Starbucks and for those of you how know my bad habit, it is quite often but don't tell Greg ;)

Mix the cake batter

Pour into the cake pan and bake

Crumble the cake

Add the frosting to the cake crumbles

Roll into 1 inch balls

Dip stick in melted candy

Poke into each cake ball

Cover cake ball with candy coating

Sprinkle on candy toppings (peppermint and/or sprinkles)

Cool on included box with holes and admire all the hard work

ENJOY!!!!!

p.s. - she was absolute mess after this activity with candy coating in her hair and cake batter on her shirt. this was quite the production but totally fun and entertaining. Thanks Erika for the fun afternoon of fun!
