Winter Extreme 2012

For all of you live in the Pacific Northwest, you experienced the same winter wonderland we did last week. But for those of you who unfortunately missed out on the 18+ inches of snow, well here are some pics for you to experience the white stuff through.

We were "trapped" kinda by choice from Monday afternoon through Saturday morning. Greg could get the truck out but my car was as stuck as you could get it. Greg tried to move it on Thursday afternoon and said that I would be lucky to move it by Saturday. Why, is he always right? :) I guess that is why I love him!

Poor Hailey on the other hand was actually pretty much house bound for 9 1/2 days with the exception of a b-day party and basketball practice. Greg and I were doing so well taking turns that we didn't really realize that she wasn't getting out much. We did take MANY walks and got our full share of  playing and sledding in the snow though.

It started out mild...

And then snowed, and snowed and snowed. We measured how much we got by our chairs.

Sunday 3-4 inches
Monday 2-3 inches
Tuesday 3-4 inches
Wednesday 5-6 inches
Thursday 5-6 inches
Friday - RAIN

There was lots of "building"

and eating...

Sledding was a must
We even built a snow bump

Hailey sledding with Uncle Jake and Daddy

Mommy did get smart too and hired the sweet neighbor girl one afternoon to "play"

They plowed, just to our cul d sac, so the "snow mountain" was pretty cool.

We then got awfully tired by day 3, I found her asleep under her bed after 10 min of it being "too quiet"

I think then being housebound made us a bit silly by day 4... Reindeer icicles

Riding down the sledding hill on a scooter...

When that didn't work we went for the trike. When she looked up at her bike, we diverted to another sled down the hill on mommy's back

The cat was not too fond...

But the dog, had a blast!

This one didn't turn out as planned, but it was cute anyway. I was hoping that she wouldn't sink in

Face up and face down

The neighborhood on our Thursday night walk with more snow falling

Even though the snow brought everything to a screeching halt for a week, it quickly left us and was replaced with a TON of rain, boo, until next time!
