Camp Kalaloch on the Ocean

We FINALLY got to go camping!

This years camping trip took us to the Washington Coast to Camp Kalaloch with our friends Jeanette and Dan and the kids.

We had a blast and loved being on the beach with the sounds of the ocean and crisp cool fresh air of the outdoors. As I was putting this blog together however I realized that I didn't get any family pics of pics of me :( This is what happens when you break your camera and succumb to only having a cell phone. I am getting better at using my phone camera and it sure makes it easier to share pictures either via FB, email, or text. Kinda love that!

We spent a lot of time of the beach and I think Hailey brought it home with her as she was rolling in it, diving in it, pushing driftwood in it, being buried in it, swimming in it, you get the idea.

Greg decided that he was going to plant himself in it...

We had a blast and are looking forward to next years trip that we are already talking about and have picked out our sites.

Thank you for the wonderful trip Jeanette and Dan!
On the Ferry and then at Mike's BBQ in Port Gamble

At the campsite after dinner

Taking a break with Daddy in the hammock

Swinging in the hammock

Flying the kite - this is the best place!

Dan's attempt to fly Richards kite after 20 minutes of flying

Playing in the sand

I wish I could remember exactly what she called this but I think this was a "feather garden"

Writing her own name in the sand - it really is a "Y" at the end - she just did the top really small
On an evening beach walk
Checking out the tide pools at low tide - this is where she almost got taken out by a freak wave - we have now learned to not turn our back on the ocean.

Pushing "boats" in the sand - they each carried their boat  back to the side and added it to the fire

Helping Daddy take down the tent - she was so proud of herself and felt like such a big kid helping Daddy
They are a great team!
