Snickers Party with Grampa Dexter

One of the special things that Hailey shares with Grampa Dexter is their love of Snicker's. Grampa Dexter started what we now call "Snicker's Party". This is a special party just between Hailey and Grampa Dexter where they share a Snickers. They sometimes share with everyone but the first two bites are sacred to them. It is pretty cute as this has become a ritual every time they are together. One or the other shows up with a Snickers and the smiles that are shared make your heart warm. I love the simple moments that will turn into a life time of memories.

A couple of weeks ago we spent a Sunday over at the beach house with both sides of my family and Hailey drew this picture of Grampa Dexter holding the Snickers getting ready for a Snickers Party.

Hailey also brought the Snickers to Grampa Dexter when he was in the hospital last week for his hip replacement. This is one tradition that I think will carry on for many, many years to come!
