Haircut, rides, pottery and more!

On Saturday we spent the afternoon at Crossroads mall with our friends Julie and Chloe doing all sorts of mom and daughter stuff.

We started of the afternoon fun with a hair cut at CF Kids and playing with the toys in the adjacent toy shop. Julie was my lifesaver by being able to sweet talk them into fitting Hailey in as I completely forgot to schedule it for her. They did an amazing job on both girls and they had a great time in the cars watching each other get their hair did. After they got their bows, sparkles, lolly pops and balloons, we headed over to grab lunch. The neat thing about crossroads is the girls can basically have what ever their little hearts desire as they have it all!

After lunch we headed into the pottery painting studio to paint "cookies for Santa" plates. The girls had a blast covering the entire plates with beautiful holiday colors and of course added in a bit of pink as a final touch. Hailey did a reindeer and Chloe did a penguin. We get to pick them up later this week but most likely won't be able to get back until next week with our lovely weather and the holiday coming up.

After pottery we set off to find every ride we could. Julie and I only thought that there were 4 but the girls managed to find #5 tucked back in the corner and it was the best one of all, a horse!  The best part about the rides is that that they are only a quarter per ride and some of them you can fit both kids in so they get to go twice as long. Such a low budget thrill that we will be going back much more often then I ever thought that we would.

We tried to get a bit of shopping in but the girls were having too much fun being girls. We kinda "lost:" them for a moment but found them in the back by the boot wall trying on boots and giggling and squealing like little girls. They then moved on to the penguin and dog slippers and started to waddle around the store. I am surprised that we each did not end up with animal slippers that afternoon.

We ended the day with ice cream from Cold Stone - Hailey is into this pink-strawberry ice cream thing lately, go figure, so she picked out Strawberry sorbet with gummy bears. Is she a kid with a sweet tooth or what!

All in all, I would have never thought that I would say this but Crossroads Mall Rocks! With all the perfect stops along the way for the kiddos, we could not have asked for anything more. Next time it will be a game of chess with the huge chess pieces, the book store and a bit more playtime at the toy shop and of course all the rides.
