A great pre-Mother's Day!

About 2 months ago my Brother called and said that he was going to be coming to town for a week in May. The days turned out to be right over Mother's Day weekend. So the discussions began about how we could surprise Mom. We were so good, we kept it a secret the entire time. Many people knew and they were all so good to not slip even once :)

Greg, Hailey and I picked up Brian around Noon and drove straight to her house. He walked up to the door, rang the bell, knocked and pounded on the door. When she opened it, she just stood there - it took her about 3 seconds to realize what had just happened. It was the cutest thing ever! Then there were tears, squeals, shrieks, and many laughs and giggles. It was the best Mother's Day present that he could give her. By the way, he is going to school in CA for Physical Therapy and hasn't been home or seen Mom since Thanksgiving.

After we hung out for a bit, we headed off for a fun filled day. The day started off with a Starbucks of course, and Hailey had her first real drink, a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino. Does she look excited or what! You should have seen her eyes light up when she took her first sip.

Then we were off to Snoqualmie Falls since the weather was so nice and everything around Seattle would be extremly busy. Come to find out, my brother had never been there. The water was roaring and the river was super high. They have redone the viewpoints and it is beautiful with lots of places to look at the falls now along the top of hill.
We got our map, and we were on our way!

Next we headed out to an early dinner at Snoqualmie Brewery for some sandwiches. The food was good but none of us are huge fans of their hoppy beers, I had thier summer ale and it was ok but not something to get me back there anytime soon.
We ended our day looking at and playing on the trains and the HUGE tree log in town. Hailey had a blast running all over the trains, she just loves trains, not to sure why. She was in one of the real ones that the kids could get inside and she kept talking about, "give me a ticket, and you can ride the commercial" Do you think that she knew it was a Commercial Train?

We had just a lovely day spending time as a family and I wouldn't trade the day for anything!

Love you family, see you this afternoon for more fun at our house, the weather is still beautiful :)
