Our hotel here is AMAZING, the view is literly just of the ocean and a Waikiki Beach. We are 12 floors up and overlook the pool which is just feet away from the edge of the ocean. In the bathroom there are cubard doors which open up to the rest of the room that face the ocean, if you leave them open while taking a shower, you can look out to the ocean and see nothing but the aquamarine colered water.

On Friday we visited Pearl Harbor, and then took a drive around the island. We drove through the Dole Plantation up to the North Shore as I wasnted to see the Banzai Pipeline, but to my luck there wasn't even a small wave that day. Oh well, it just gives us another reason to come back :) From the North Shore we drove down the East side of the island along the coast. It was much like Maui, very unpopulated and a bit more country side with a bunch of small towns along the way. It was a gorgeous drive, Hailey did pretty well the majority of the day considering we started out at 8 am and didn't get back until a bit after 4. she only fussed a bit towards the end but we were able to occupy her with a few pit stops and many toys and singing along the way.
Saturday was our last full day here, and we spent the entire day just relaxing at the resort, we went out for breakfast at Duke's which was a very tasty buffet. Duke is a world famous surfer who was a 3 time olympian who made surfing popular all over the word. I was then able to catch a few rays by the pool and then we all headed down for a few hours at the beach right outside the hotel. For dinner Greg found another restaurant that Anthony Bourdain visted that is true Hawaiian, a favorite of the locals. Again, it was amazing, the food here on Oahu has been much better then it was on Maui, we have had much better luck finding good restaurants. We took the bus there and then decided take the nice 2 mile walk back, most of it was along Waikiki beach, so we were able to walk the entire strip.
It is now Sunday, our day that we return home. We should be outside soaking up the last few sun rays that we can but we have been here for 9 days and it is time to return to the real world to make money to do it all again next year in a different part of the world. I think that we are all actually kind of ready to leave, as I type this, we are just sitting in our hotel room waiting for the time to head to the airport. Greg is doing something on his phone, Hailey has crashed on the floor after a long morning of winning, and I am sitting here on the laptop writing the blog post. See you all when we return!
