Ringing in the New Year

We continued our New Year's Tradition of spending it with Family at the Beach House in Suquamish. Not sure how much Hailey really grasped of what the holiday meant but Grandma Lori did a great job of explaining how it was the Earth's birthday. Pretty smart idea! You tell a kid that it is a birthday and of course that means party hats, noise makers, and lots of celebrating!

We started out by doing pop its on the deck, this time though, Hailey needed to clean up all the wrappers, which she did most agreeably.

After dinner we got into the bag of goodies that we found at QFC and found, noise makers, hats, clappers, masks and sparkly necklaces. We decided to save the confetti for craft time :) Hailey loved dressing up and celebrating all around the house.
We decided that this was a good year to celebrate at 9 pm with the East Coast so we watched the celebration on the Internet and let Hailey ring in the New Year at 9 PM.

All us girls got into the celebration with her

Then Mommy gave her the silly string, doesn't she look devious and determined. we were all running away and shrieking, it was a great laugh.

Then off to bed for the Munchkin and the adults took the newly turned 18 year olds out to the casino (Sister on right with her friend Makala) I sure did get quite a good talking to for taking this picture, opps! who knew you couldn't take pictures inside a casino. Lucky for me, I couldn't figure out how to delete it even though I said I would. ;)

We then came home and celebrated with the boys who were on babysitting duty, while we were out at the Casino. Kara and Greg are out little pyros, they do a great job while we stand back and enjoy.

Happy 2012!
