A coffee cup, mommy’s feet , spray pad and sun! This sums up our summer solstice celebration. We hit the spray pad in Snohomish for some water fun and had a great time!
It took Hailey a few minutes to “warm” up to the idea of running through cold water shooting up from the ground and down from the sky but as soon as I handed her my coffee cup and told her to get water to dump on my feet she was off.
She ran through the water for at least a half hour with my empty coffee cup, I just love seeing her purely enjoying herself and how such a simple thing was all she needed. She was very protective of her cup too, I think 2 boys at different times tried to take it from her and she grabbed it away and said something along the lines of “no that is mine, you can’t have it” Sometimes it is just OK to not want to share! I look forward to many more warm evening at the splash pad that we are so lucky to have practically in our own backyard!
