Mazatlan

In Mazatlan, we woke to yet again a beautiful port but we had to overlook the working ship docks to see it. We could see the Pacifico Brewery that we thought about going on a tour of but just didn't bring up the motivation or desire once we were in port. It is the two taller buildings off to the right.

We had heard all about the "golden zone" which is the expensive shopping part of town and we decided to do something a bit different. We headed to the Aquarium which was not a tourist destination as there is no English spoken. We were lucky though to experience it with Mexican school kids which was pretty fun. Hailey really liked watching them laugh and enjoy themselves even though she could not understand them.

At the aquarium, they did 3 shows, a scuba diver who plays with sharks, a sea lion show and a bird show. We stayed and watched all 3 and had another great yet laid back day.

We had alot of fun on the ride back to the boat in this little open air taxi. He offered to take us all over the city but someone didn't bring enough cash.

You take this open air tram to and from the ship-terminal which was pretty cool. Hailey just loved how she didn't have to ride in her car seat.

After we got back and had lunch, Hailey took another swim in the pool. See how she is in all by herself?  I was able to sit on the side while she swam and catch a bit of sun. It was heaven!

She still loved to skip and dance her way around the pool though.

My one regret was being able to take a small boat to this little island and play at the beach. We spent a bit more time then expected at the aquarium and just didn't want to take a risk of missing the boat. We had a great time at the aquarium but we probably should have done the beach thing instead. It was a small beach with a bunch of small little open air concessions.

Hailey taking a rest as we pull away from Mazatlan

Pulling away from Mazatlan. This was just a cool shot from the back of the boat as we were turning around. You can see the Princess boat in the distance.

These chairs are in the adult pool and Hailey had been asking all week to sit in them and take pictures. You can see them in the picture above. There are 4 chairs and she got a cute pic in each one. This one is the best though.
