ailey and I had a special mommy and me date a few days before we left for Mexico in late February, yes I am catching up!
We hit the nail salon for mommy and me pedicures. I researched where to go on the Eastside and came upon The Pedicure Place in Downtown Bellevue, with reservations made, sandals in tow, and a reading of a mere 35 degrees on the thermostat we were off.
I was driving down NE 8th when I "thought" we arrived at the right place. We walked in and my first thought was "this does not look like the pictures" and "where are the cookies?" Hmm, i asked if they had reservations for Hailey and Shaundy and they of course said yes, yes, right over there. So we picked out of colors, I sat in the chair while Hailey stood in the water tub portion of the chair (she was just a bit too short) and we were underway. I then looked around a bit more and noticed acrylic stuff and knew then that we were in the wrong place. I was a bit upset and I did so much research to find the perfect place for her first pedicure but I tried to not let that ruin our experience. We had a great time, laughed, held hands, talked and enjoyed our relaxing time together, read gossip magazines and Hailey even got flowers on her toes with sparkles!
With our darling feet as Hailey called them, we walked next door for Pho to give them a bit more time drying. It was Hailey's first time eating Pho and she sucked it down like a champ. We also tried taro fries which were delicious.
It was when we drove out of the parking lot that I saw the sign across the parking lot for the place that we were supposed to go to. The sign was small and since it was daylight when we arrived it did not stand out. We now have plans to go back when we are ready to wear sandals again.
