The rest of the Birthday Weekend!

So the Muchin's now have a 3 year old. It is amazing to think how fast time has gone by and the different stage we are in now as a family as well as all of the up's, down's and in between's we have experienced over the past year. It was another year of firsts but a different year of firsts, things like concepts, conversations, experiences, new friends, dentist visit, preschool, babysitters, opinions, decisions, big girl bed, potty training, and the list goes on and on. I stopped tracking the things she says as often as she speaks so well, so often, and so fast that we get so involved in the discussions that is hard to remember all the words and the order. I will continue to track of the best of the best "Haileyisms" as they are pretty dang cute and some that are hard to keep a straight face as "opps, Mommy slipped" :) It was a miracle year, one that I will never trade, and will treasure for ever. We have been blessed with an amazing little girl who is strong willed, spirited, and opinionated yet the most caring, genuine, loving, generous, smart, curious, and funny little person a Mommy and Daddy could ever ask for.

We love you Hailey, you bring joy to our life and have made us a family. We treasure each and every moment and look forward to all the new experiences and adventures that await year 4. Happy Birthday princess, we could not be more proud to be your Mommy and Daddy.

Hailey's Birthday of course was a weekend of celebrations, my brother was in town but was unable to make the party so we had a dinner to celebrate him being in town along with an intimate family gathering at my dad's house.

We had a great Skype visit with Gramma Leila to open a huge box of goodies that arrived the week prior which was so much fun to chat with her for so long and open them together. Hailey just loves seeing her Gramma Leila and Grampa George and cannot wait to see them next month. Hailey received her first Barbie and has been playing with it non-stop since.
On Hailey's actual birthday Mommy took the day off and had a special day by spending it with just her doing all sorts of fun things that she wanted to do. This was the first time that her Birthday fell on a weekday and she will ALWAYS have her birthday off and I will ALWAYS take it off with her to do something special. We went to story time at the library, went to McDonalds for lunch, had a "photo shoot" at home and went to feed the ducks with Daddy at the park with 100's of birds that flocked in to eat the bread. She even picked out her outfit for the day, which i have to say was pretty cute and it matched!

For her Birthday dinner we went out with Gamma and Grampa Dexter and Grampa and Grandma Lori to a super fun restaurant in Southcenter called the Rainforest Cafe. This is like an OK version of Chuck E Cheese with jungle animals that move and it goes through all the weather elements of the jungle. It was pretty cool but we did have to move tables as the one that they put us by was the gorillas and it freaked her out. We got moved to a front and center table in the back where we could see everything but from a distance. She really enjoyed herself, I wish I could have gotten some better pics of the dinner. Someone did think her sundae was quite tasty though.
