For each holiday we have special books that we mix into the assortment. She has accumulated quite the collection for Easter, we have a stack that we read each night.
Last week we went to visit the Easter bunny, she was very excited and talked very matter of faculty about how we were going to go see him and ask for more musical instruments to add to her music box. She was such a brave little girl, she walk right up to him and sat on his lap. She then realized that I was not going to sit there with her. She was ok, just not as excited. I got a cute little smirk though :)
The neat thing that Bellevue Square did this year that was a total surprise to us, was that they surprised each child with a huge bunny rabbit. It is super soft and she she LOVES it. It goes everywhere with us and has surely sparked quite a liking for bunny rabbits.
We have a few more activities planned such as the typical egg dying, egg hunt on Easter, brunch with family on Sunday and maybe something fun this Saturday, we will just see where the car takes us and weather has in store.
We did make some super cute egg shaped cookies though. Who knows... they may show up in a few family members Easter baskets :) I found this super cute recipe in one of my magazines and just had to try it. I figured since it was in Parent's magazine, it couldn't be too hard right? Think again, they were a bit more time intensive then I thought they would be. Not bad for a first effort right? Hailey and I are no Martha Stewart but it is the effort that counts :)
