- She thought that the eggs were balls and she literally chucked one into the pot of water
- She had a hard time holding the eggs on the dipper after she pulled it out of the dye and it fell on the floor.
- She was kinda done with the whole decorating thing as it was done in many stages, when we got to the point of putting stickers on them, she started to clean it all up and put it away saying "all done, no more eggs anymore"
One of the traditions that I remember growing up with was waking up to the floor covered with Starburst candies. It is a fun way to start out Easter morning and we have carried on the tradition for the 2nd year. She had a great time picking up the candies that were all over the house and putting them in her basket that was waiting for her when she woke up with her "ears" in it.
As she walked into the playroom she saw her Easter basket sitting there and said "Happy Easter!" and ran over to it.
Later in the morning we went to my mom's for brunch, it was supposed to be the entire family but unfortunately everyone was under the weather. We did get to see everyone and trade gifts though various pick ups/drop off's throughout the day but it was not the same. The waffles were delicious and the low key holiday nice but it is so much to spend it with the entire family. We have decided on doing another egg hunt though the next time we are all together. I did put on a smaller egg hunt for Hailey though and she had so much fun searching for the eggs. I hid about 20 and she found them all in a matter of minutes. It was so cute to watch how determined and focused she was about finding the eggs that she had no idea what was inside. Unfortunately I have no pics of this event as it is all on video as with most of the basket searching, starburst finding and egg hunt. Next year we will brave a "real egg hunt" as she was a bit under the weather too on Saturday so we opted out from venturing out and braving the wind.
In side her eggs were rings, tattoos, coins, jelly beans, and marshmallow bunnies. We went pretty smart on the candy this year but somehow she still ended up with at bucket full. I think Daddy and Mommy will be enjoying most it :) Hailey got to put on her first tattoo and then had to put one on Daddy, who was a great sport - I think that he secretly enjoyed it.
We got one family shot at breakfast, kinda an funny one as we are all leaning but it is a family shot none the less.
This pic is a super cute one of her trying to blow on her first pinwheel from the Haley's. Am I thinking that this has something to do with the fun time that the girls had picking dandelions and "blowers" last weekend Stephanie :) SUPER CUTE!
Happy Easter from the Muchin's
