Our tradition is to leave the Easter basket out during the week before Easter so she knows that Easter is coming. We left the Easter basket out for the Easter Bunny on Wednesday and he picked it up Friday. Hailey was quite surprised to find a few treats left for her on Friday when we got home as she was still asleep when we left in the morning.

On Saturday we dyed Easter Eggs, it was quite an experience but they turned out nice. I wish I took a picture, but I think I was more occupied getting the red dye out of my eyes after Hailey dropped an egg in the dish.
When Sunday morning came she ran out down the hall but then stopped suddenly as there were the same treats all over the floor (Starbursts). I handed her a small basket to collect them all, which I had no idea what she was going to do with it, but to our surprise, she picked up all the treats and put them in her basket. My little smarty pants...

Later that day we headed over to Gramma's where the rest of the family was meeting for an Easter brunch and and Easter Egg Hunt. The girls made quite a haul with candy and toys and had a great time looking for all the eggs. Hailey did a great job on her 1st Easter Egg Hunt, she actually was able to tell the difference between the toys and plastic eggs. She went right for them when we opend the door.

We then headed over to Grandpa's to spend the evening with them where the little munchkin was handed another Easter basket. Then on Monday the mail man dropped off the one from Grandma and Grandpa in Georgia.

All in all, Hailey brought in 6 Easter baskets with about 10 stuffed animals, 8 boxes of peeps, 4 books, a dozen or so toys, a buttload of candy, and a partridge in a pair tree. She says she had quite a successful Easter.

She kept looking on the floor even though we said "look on your slide" about a 100 times. She finally looked up and said "WOW" with the biggest smile as there was a giant duck sitting up there in her Easter basket. She pulled it down and started playing with it and kissing it.
We then sat down for a bowl of fruity bunny cereal, don't worry, it was all natural. :) I will just leave it up to the picture to tell you how much she enjoyed this.
