So for those of you that have just been dying to know how the rest of our trip went, I am finally posting. I know it has been over a month and I do apologize for the delay. :)On Monday we went to the Georgia Aquarium with Connor, Hailey's Cousin, Aunt Krystal and Grandma Linda. We all had a great time looking at the fish, sharks, and otters. Hailey was just a little trooper but I think the jet lag started to hit her.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I worked and visited the T-Mobile National Return Center in LaGrange, GA which is on the Alabama border. I also met with a few suppliers in Atlanta and saw one of our Regional Offices. It was quite a busy few days, I was just exhausted when I got home and probably only saw Hailey about 6 hrs total over the course of the three days. I also was able to visit the Merchandise Mart with my Dad and Stepmom who where there for business. It is a buying convention that they visit each year to buy for their nursery in Bellevue. When I used to live in GA I went with them a few times. At least this time I didn't have to say good bye like I did when I lived there which was really hard those two years.
On Friday, we picked up Conner from school and went to the mall so we could let him pick out his Xmas present. (The cutest thing was when we turned around and saw that they were holding hands) Hailey wanted to give him a build a bear so we had fun watching him run around the store. He ended up with a bear with sunglasses and a stroller. My sister in law wanted to KILL me. Me and Grandma thought it was pretty cute, but I have a girl, I don't know what it is like to have a boy who wants a stoller. Conner spent the night on Friday which was really fun for the two to have a sleepover. It was so neat watching them run up and down the hall with the push carts, stroller and ride ons. It was like they had known each other for ever.We also had Hailey's 15 month pictures taken as well as the two cousins together. They turned out darling, I with I was able to post them, you will just have to take my word on it. It was great to be able to have Krystal take them as she manages the JCPenny photography studio in Macon. She takes AMAZING pictures.
On Saturday, we just hung around, relaxed and let the kids play. My Brother and Sister in Law came over for dinner and we were able to spend some time together again before we left on Sunday, which came way to fast. The flight home was not as easy as the one there since it was during the day but Hailey did great, she slept to Arizona and then played and ate all the way to Seatte. She had fun with the man that was sitting next to us too, I think they entertained each other.
All in all, we had a great time. It was sad to leave knowing that it would probably be summer before we saw everyone again but we were able to get the web cam set up so we can now see them at least through the computer whenever we want to. The plan is that Grandma is going to read a bedtime book to Hailey once a week. We have not done very well yet on this plan but as she gets older and understands we will make sure it happens like clock work.
I think Hailey and Daddy missed each other a ton too, as both of them were super excited when we landed and they saw each other on Sunday. On Saturday when the web cam was hooked up, it was funny but kind of sad to watch her see her daddy through the computer. She didn't understand at all why he was in the computer, she couldn't take her eyes off him.
