For our first Holiday Event of 2011, I broke our rule of "No Christmas until after Thanksgiving" due to the December schedule of events. I really wanted to see reindeer up close with out paying the arm and leg for the Cougar Mountain Zoo this year due to other planned activities. So when I found Swanson's Nursery over in Ballard who has reindeer, a camel, and a donkey on the weekends of course we jumped at that opportunity.
It was pretty fun to get dressed up all festive in the middle of November but I don't think we will make a habit of it. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is early enough for me!
If we went on certain weekends, which just so happened that the one before Thanksgiving was the only one we could make it, they have a photo opp with live reindeer.
