Deception Pass Overnight

A few weeks back we had an unexpected and unplanned opportunity to head up to Deception Pass and take out the boat for our first overnight with Hailey. We met up with our friends Natalie and Nick and her Mom and Dad on their sailboat and had a great time.

We anchored in a cove just around the corner to the Northwest of the bridge and had a lovely time seeing where and how they live on the sail boat and explored a new beach. Natalie, her Mom and I also got in a nice, very quick hike.

Natalie also wrote a great blog on our trip if you want more details.

Laconner Bridge as we were heading out

Greg and Nick in the dingy

Hailey in the cutey cabin getting ready to go to sleep

Playing with the utensils on the beach from "Matalies" mom - AKA Grandma on the boat

Nick drinking a bottle of water that he found on the beach covered in seaweed

pulling with all her might to keep the boat on the shore - this lasted almost 30 min

The view of the bay from our short hike

Natalie and I on the hike

Natalie, Nick and her Mom and Dad waving good bye after our quick visit.
Thanks for the great overnight - wish we could have met up with you again!
