On the gorgeous sunny days we had in May, we made it a point to HIT THE BEACH! On the first trip, we headed to the Downtown Kirkland Marina with our friends the Shaffer's as a spontaneous trip after the Sleeping Beauty play at KPC. The girls had a great time playing in the sand getting their feet wet and coloring the sidewalk.
We have a cute little beach back pack that came with a bucket, shovel, sand toys, etc that is all princess that stays in car waiting for days like this and it came in super handy. It is now also stocked with sunscreen, sandals, sunglasses, sidewalk chalk and a hat!
Our second trip we went to Houghton beach in Kirkland with the Shaffer's as well, only this time it was planned. Unfortunately the toys were under construction but I don't think the girls even had a clue.
Clean up at this beach was a breeze as they have a warm shower rinse - LOVE IT!
We are very much looking forward to many more lazy days in the sun this summer when it decides to show up!
