Halloween Fun

Halloween was quite a festive holiday for us this year and it was SO much fun!
We were invited over to our good friends The Moss' house for some Mr Potato Head Pumpkin decorating, we went to the best Halloween Party EVER at The Haley's, Trick or Treated the day before Halloween at Crossroads Mall with The Moss', and did lots of festive craft making like make ghosts out of a plastic table cloth and newspaper to hang on the tree in the tree in the yard. Unfortunately they never made it to the tree but they did make a nice centerpiece in a basket on the table.

We had a Halloween party at work that had a grossest dessert contest and Hailey and I made the kitty litter box cake, would you let your child get this close to the kitty box?  It didn't win but I guess 2nd place will have to do. I was beat by dirty diapers made out of rice krispy treats covered in chocolate and pudding and placed into a read diaper. Now to a mom, that is just not that gross...  Hailey and I had a great time making it though, she especially liked burying the tootsie rolls.

She also got to wear her Halloween costume to ballet on Saturday, she loved it and the kids were so dang cute in all of their get ups. I was pretty surprised how they all did and how they were not distracting.

Lastly we hosted a fun Halloween event before the trick or treating festivities on Halloween for some close friends. It was a lot of fun and I broke out the Martha Stewart in me and made tortilla pumpkin pinwheels, mummy pizza's and mummy wrapped lil smokies. We also did some cupcake decorating which was pretty cute to watch.

Hailey decided a few months ago that she wanted to be Minnie Mouse and we were lucky to have a friend of mine lend us her daughters dress up clothes for her to pick out the perfect costume. Thanks Branco's! She ended up naming herself "Princess Minnie" which was quite appropriate.

We started of the night of trick or treating with some friends at Mill Creek Town Center, which was far better then the mall experience that we endured the past two years. I even got my family picture and I have to say, it turned out pretty cute! This has become my Halloween tradition, get a cute family pic with Hailey in her costume.

After Mill Creek Town Center, we once again headed over for some door to door trick or treating in Greg's old neighborhood. Greg got his beer and dinner too! Thank you to our friends that take such good care of us :)
