The Puyallup Spring Fair

Hailey, Daddy and I all headed South today to the Puyallup Spring Fair. Greg and I have never been but we both really liked it much better then the huge fall Puyallup Fair. It was much more simple and easy to get around with a 2 year old.

We had a great time, and really just wanted to let it be a Hailey event. If she wanted to see something, we looked, if she wanted to do something, we did! It was great :) not much different than any other day though ;)

We have been talking about going all week, and decided upon Sunday morning as the weather was going to be the best and if we go right at opening we can avoid the crowds and get in the car right at nap time. BINGO! Everything went right according to plan.

Hailey was so excited all the way down to Puyallup and I honestly do not really know how she knows what a fair is or what she was expecting, but I think we made her day. She has been to the Evergreen State Fair but she was super tired that whole day and I doubt that she would even remember it.

We started out on the carousel, as it was the first thing Hailey saw when we walked in

We then hit the kids area, I think Daddy had about as much as Hailey did :)

Hailey got her face painted, it was airbrush and didn't even smudge!

She first wanted a yellow lady bug on her hand, then she saw the horse stencil and customized her pink horse on her cheek with white hair and glitter :) She honestly did get very excited with this, unfortunately this picture makes it look like I forced her :)

There were a ton of reptiles that we looked at, looking at 2 tortoises

Planting a pumpkin seed with the Master Gardner program (she also did an art project and ground up some dried corn for the chickens)

She loved petting the animals, especially the baby bunny and chicks

Mommy was a bit nervous with the rides, but I had prepared myself, apparently not enough as I think I knocked over about 10 people as I tried to follow her around the canoe canal. She was just fine! Mommy needed to CHILL out and let her be. She LOVED it!

She then got to ride on the 4 wheel ride, she sat on it like such a big girl through the whole ride, smiled, and then proceeded to unbuckle herself and get down all by herself when it was done before I could get to her.

She then got to play a game... hmmm, any hair similarities here :)

and she won!

Daddy played a game too but only got 2nd, no prizes for 2nd place unfortunately...

and then how could you go to the Puyallup Fair and leave without a scone, Hailey with her first fair scone, she ate almost the whole thing! We were supposed to share :)

Do you think she enjoyed herself?
