A day at The Evergreen State Fair

Last week I took a few extra days off from work and was able to spend it all with Hailey. We didn't do anything extraordinary but spent some time doing fun stuff. onThursday we spent he good part of the morning at the "Chicken Park" Old Country Village in Bothell. We rode the train, got a new puzzle, checked out the new kid friendly coffee shop, and fed the ducks.

On Friday we were invited to go to the Evergreen State Fair with our friends Angela and Katherine. We had a great time and Hailey was such Mommy's little trooper. She was so tired when we got there that I thought I was in for it. For being as tired as she was, I have to say that she did quite well with only a few outbursts during lunch.

We had lots of fun looking at all the animals, watching the men create bears out of logs with chainsaws, (this is great prep. for the logging show in Alaska in a few weeks) and walking the grounds looking at all sorts of new and exciting things. Hailey even had her first corn dog and did quite well with it. Next time I need to make sure that I bring at Peanut and Butter sandwich as this is not the place to try and find a decent meal for a toddler. I was hoping to get a few rides in but that was just out of the question by that time came, as you can see both girls were out by the time we walked back to the cars.
