Swimming Update

We started another set of swim lessons last week and she is doing so well. It is just AMAZING to see how well she is doing and how much fun we are both finally having. It has been a great year of lessons as she truely loves swimming it can just get pretty exhausting with the wiggles, shrils, screams, etc and I can now say that it is finally starting to pay off.

Our friends Jeanette and Noah (2 1/2) joined us last session and continued on with us into this session. Noah and Hailey have so much together, and it is great to be able to get them together twice a week.

Hailey is doing a great job with blowing bubbles on command, laying on her back with minimal movement (we are working on the length of time she will tolerate it) and she finally figured out that jumping off the side of the pool can be really fun. She could jump off the side for the entire lesson ("ah gen" - again) she says, along with waiting for me to count to three, then says "go". She used to scream the second I would stand her up. She liked crawling out on her own but then thought it was time to get out.

Letting her play after lessons in the kid pool has really encouraged her to explore the pool on her own and get very comfortalble. She will continue walking until her chin is underwater and almost float up. There is no fear! She also knows where the steps are that are under water, and will lay on her tummy on the very, very shallow part and lift her head up above the water.

I am truely amazed at how well she does... my little fishy.
