We had quite an agenda lined up and Hailey managed to keep out without missing a beat and only a few melt downs when we had to leave. I have found the trick though, Gerber veggie puffs and we have to make sure we say "bye bye" and "ah done" with a good bye wave. We have to start the process about 10 minutes before it is time to leave to ensure we walk out on a happy note.
On Thursday we went to Country Village and took a train ride with Grandma and then had lunch at Whole Foods in Bellevue. Hailey LOVED the falalfel and the salad bar. She wasn't a big fan of the train at first but by the end she was laughing and having a ball. We then had her 18 month pictures taken (see below post) and took a nice long 2 mile walk.
On Friday we went to the EverettChildren's Museum which is just darling! She had a great time playing on the tractor and fire engine and playing with the "cho chos" (train). I kept asking her what she wanted to do and she kept saying "cho chos", I think it was because we went on the train ride the day before. We then picked up her 18 month pictures and took another long walk (3 miles) from the north end of Mill Creek Town Center all the way to QFC. Mind you, it was during the only part of the day that rained, lucky us!

On Saturday we started off at Maltby for breakfast with the girls, it is a our montly breakfast with Natalie, Michele, and Jamie and her twin daughters that are a year younger then Hailey. It was thier first Maltby visit and they did AMAZING! I kinda miss the times when Hailey was that age and I could actually eat and talk at the same time and keep up on the conversation. After breakfast we headed to Bellevue to see Identical Harmony (Let Your Music Shine) again. This performance was called A Garden Full of Songs by Bela Bartok. Hailey is in awe of this group and has been the only way that I have been able to get a shower in this week. She also will ask for it in the car the moment we get in. We are looking forward to thier next show in May.

After lunch we we went to the Northcreek Park in Bothell and took a nice long 2.5 mile walk through the nature reserve which is a boardwalk through a marsh land with ducks and other animals. I have been so proud of how well she has been doing in stoller on these long walks, as long as we are moving she seems to do ok.
Later in the afternoon I was thinking how fun it would be for tomorrow to head to the beach and let Hailey play in the water. This then led me to realize that she didn't have any rain boots, nor I, to keep our feet from getting cold if they got wet. After 2 hours of looking for a small size 5 rain boot we finally found the cutest pair at REI in Alderwood. There were about 7 other stores before that. Once we got home and were settled in for the night was when I realized that I forgot to find a pair for myself. Lucky for us Target was open the next morning and I found a pair to match Hailey's.
We started out Sunday with the trip to Target and then headed to Richmond Beach to go beachcombing. Hailey was a little timid at first but then when she saw mommy having so much fun throwing the rocks in the water she quickly warmed up and even went wadding. Thank goodness for the rain boots. They also had a climbing toy with swings so we spent a bit of time there playing chase, swinging and going down slides. All in all, Hailey and I had a great Spring Break! We were both beat though by the time we got home from the beach that she took a 3 hr nap and I did the same, which is probably the first time since she took naps in my arms when she was an infant.
