Potty

A few weeks ago we purchased a potty. This is quite a big step for Hailey, but don't get too excited yet about us really cracking down and getting serious about potting training. We are going to take it really slow and just get her accustomed to what a potty is.
We started off by letting her play with it when we brought it home, we then put it in our powder room right off the play room so she was able to associate it with the adult one. This weekend we brought it back out to the play room and she started playing with her dolly on it. She will now sit on it (with her clothes on) when asked to as well as put her dolly on it (or in it) when we tell her to have her dolly go potty. She also started telling me (when asked) if she popped or not. Daddy also taught her what to do with the TP, we had it all over. Thank you Daddy!
I think that this is a very big step and I am very proud of her. She is turning into such a big girl. My goal, hopefully she shares it with me, is to have her potty trained by the end of summer. I have heard that the best time to potty train is over the summer months when you can just let them run around outside with out a diaper so we will see how that goes.

Oh they grow so fast!!! She is getting so big. We have been up and down with Makylie...she picked up on it right away, it seemed, then she will take a few steps backward. I know she understands, but still won't go all of the time with no accidents. Best advice from me, don't get frustrated...she will make it very clear when she is ready (if she isn't when you want her to be)....
