Summer thus far...

Hailey is now 9 1/2 months old and doing new things everyday. This week she started walking with a walking push toy, she is just the cutest thing, we have a hard time not laughing when she motors across the room. This just comes about 3 weeks after she officially started crawling on all fours. She was getting around by scooting, rolling, pulling self up on tables, etc. before but she is not officially mobile, if I leave her in her room andwalk to the kitchen, she meets me half way down the hall at mock speed by the time I turn around to walk back. She will also head to the bathroom when she is ready for her night, night bath and turn around and look for me to make sure that I am following.

This has been quite an eventful summer so far, we have gone on two camping trips, the first was to Chelan where she had her first boat ride, she was not a fan of the big, red coat (life jacket) but soon got used to it and seemed to enjoy herself as she fell into a deep sleep. Mommy actually got to enjoy a bit of sun that day! The second trip was with the extended family to Blue Lake in the Sun Lakes area of Eastern, WA. It was a long car ride but she was just a little trooper and handeled it very well. This trip was a bit different as we had a cabin and shade and lots of extra hands :) Her Hailey was treated to her own private pool where she splashed and played in the hot afternoon sun.

We also started swimming lessons in May at the YMCA and she just loves getting into the pool with all the other babies and their mommies and daddies. She will easily go all the way under water with out fussing and she will put her face in all by herself and blow bubbles. She is very focused on watching all the other kids and I really feel that she is learning from them as she is the youngest. Her second session ends this Saturday, and we will start the third session in two weeks, again taking them on Saturdays. In September they hopefully will go back to being on the weeknights.

This summer was the summer to finally purchase bikes for Greg and I, we have been talking about doing this for years and finally acted on this discussion. We purchased Giant mountain bikes and can't wait to put them to good use. We will get a bike trailer for Hailey as well, but they do not recomend using one until the age of 1.

I am still working at T-Mobile but I have made the move from Retail Operations as an Analyst to Enterprise Procurement as a Senior Buyer. It was a great move and was an easy transistion as I was heavily involved in the majority of what I do now in my previous role.

Greg is still working withUnisys, supporting the EMC servers across Western WA. He now is managing all the Microsoft servers and will be heading to Boston again for additional training at the end of summer for a full week.

We look forward to all the things that summer will bring this year and more of this fantastic weather that we have been so lucky to enjoy.
